How to Help
The best way to help us with this project is to help us add, change, and update media entries so that the database is as full and accurate as possible! You can do this by contacting us with your updates or additions. We try to update everything as often as we can, but we do ask for patience as we have an incredibly small team behind the scenes.
Rating things you’ve seen, read, or heard is also extremely helpful. Rate it even if you hate it! As a library/database we want to add as much media with as much variety as possible. There will always be hidden gems but inevitably some of it will be bad. Rating the things you’ve seen helps other users decide if it’s worth their time or not!
We were recently asked about the possibility of supporting our project. Although we don’t expect anything from people using our site, we are extremely grateful to anyone that wants to help. We have included a list of things we are saving money to try and do. All of these are things that we’d have to hire a professional for as our self-taught knowledge is nowhere near ready for tasks like these.
- Optimize the site for google search results by hiring someone that understands how to navigate SEO.
- Expand to include other media such as video games in our database. This would require more specialized plugins and APIs than we have the experience for.
- Create a “where to watch”/ “where to read” section that directs users to up-to-date streaming and purchase options, especially ones that benefit the creators.
- Expand to include a related media algorithm so that we don’t have to personally choose related posts every time.
- Optimize the site for mobile devices
- Trademark and incorporate the organization to protect our rights and content.
